Road Food

We stopped at Ed's "La Casita" for lunch on the road. Our first out-of-state restaraunt stop! It was perfect. The rundown exterior, the brightly painted decor complete with murals and adequate taxidermy... I suppose the only oddness was that my much anticipated "green salad" -- oh how ready I was for a bit of crunchy lettuce and such! -- was served with gloppy sauce and chunks of pork. I inquired if this truly was a "green salad" and they were quite insistent that yes, this was indeed "The Green Salad". Deb couldn't stop laughing. Hmph. Ah well, strange customs and such. dvb
