I'm sick of everyone else having on-line diaries. I want one too.

have you ever had the experience where you are at a party, or some other social gathering, and you feel as though you are completely incapable of being socially adept enough to carry on a personable conversation, so you plant yourself in the middle of some talkative people and stand there, pretending to be a part of the conversation, but inside you know that you are not?

sometimes, i think that pretending is enough. pretending makes it real. or, perhaps, always.

today, i started pretending that everything was okay, and, remarkably, things started to appear that way.

i think a lot of it has to do with thinking about the book "grooks" by piet hien.

here is my favorite "grook":

TTT

put up in a place where it's easy to see
that cryptic admonishment, TTT.

when you feel how depressingly slowly you climb,
it's well to remember that Things Take Time.
